    GIS International Interior Architecture and Interior Design Expo Conference Budapest – the perfect  place to meet the architecture and interior design community

    GIS 2016 Budapest is a one day event that brings together architects, interior and lighting designers, contractors in a conference with plenary and thematic sessions, workshops, master class for professionals in the industry.

    GIS 2016 will take place on 23rd May 2016, in SOFITEL Chain Bridge Hotel, Budapest, and will highlight the design of buildings that generate new thinking in social, cultural, learning & working environments.

    The event’s main topics are “Transparency in interior architecture; “Fire Security in public buildings”; “Color & Lighting  in interior design”.

    26 speakers – of which 16 are international architects and designers and 10 are Hungarian professionals – will present at GIS 2016 Budapest some of their latest projects.

    All the 26 guest speakers of GIS 2016 Budapest are among the industry’s most inventive multi-disciplinary minds, highly-awarded professionals from 10 countries: Hungary, the Netherlands, Romania, Austria, United Kingdom, Thailand, Spain, Poland, Israel, Denmark.

    The Special guest is Nini Andrade SILVA (Portugal), one of the most highly-appreciated and awarded international designers of the moment.

    Because the event facilitates the continous education and trainning of the architects and interior designer, the members of the Hungarian Chamber of Architects can attend GIS 2016 free of charge, the costs being undertaken by the organizer. The participants will get 3 points credit.

    GIS is part of the series of international expo conferences organised in Budapest, Warsaw and Bucharest by ABplus Events in close cooperation with  the Chamber of Hungarian Architects, the Order of the Architects of Romania, the National Chamber of Polish Architects (IARP).

    ARCH. ANJA DIRKS, President of the European Council of Interior Architects, ECIA, The Netherlands, architect and interior architect, owner of INZIGHT Architecture, Netherlands, will be presenting “The Future of Interior Architects”.

    Awards: VIVA400 award nominee 2015 – 400 leaders who have made a difference this year în their field, Winner competition open source office 2012- for Brakel Interieur INZIGHT together with 030ARCHITECTEN and ARCADIS designed the winning plan for a new office.

    Arch. Johannes BAAR-BAARENFELS, BAAR-BAARENFELS ARCHITEKTEN VIENA, AUSTRIA, will present the project: „Consciousness and Perception”

    Awards: 2013 World Architecture Festival in Singapore- New and Old.

    Arch. Johannes Baar-Baarenfels was in the Jury of the 2015 edition of World Architecture Festival in Singapore.

    PRUITSATORN SAKULTHAI, Hypothesis Design Agency, THAILAND, will present “Vivarium Restaurant by Hypothesis”.

    arch. Krzysztof INGARDEN, Ingarden & Ewy Architects, POLAND, will be presenting  “Europe – Far East Gallery – new annex to The Manggha Japanese Art & Technology Museum”

    RAI PINTO, Rai Pinto Studio, Barcelona, speaks about “Hospital Humanization” within the project “Animals playing hide and seek – Sant Joan de Déu Children Hospital in Barcelona”

    Awards: Gold Award by Art Directors Club Global, Miami; 2014 Best of Year Award by Interior Design Magazine, New York.

    Teaming up with Dani Rubio Arauna the environmental design project Animals playing hide and seek for Sant Joan de Déu Children’s Hospital has been awarded worldwide for the best design and art direction.

    ARCH. MICHAEL SETTER,  founder of Setter Architects Ltd., Israel, will be presenting the project: „Facebook & Google Office Tel Aviv”.

    Awards: European Property awards London 2015 – best office interior- Autodesk Offices Tel Aviv, Ot Haitzuv Design Award – Israel – for the Autodesk Tel Aviv Offices, A’ DESIGN AWARD & COMPETITION , COMO, ITALY, for the design of Autodesk Tel Aviv Offices, International Property Awards, London- best office interior- Autodesk Offices Tel Aviv.

    SNOPPER ZSUZSANNA, Interior Designer, Hungary, will be presenting the project: “Pancho Arena interior design project”. Pancho Arena, opened in 2014, was chosen to be among the 12 most beautiful sport stadium in the world by Four Four Two Magazine in London.

    Interior designer Zsuzsanna Snopper is a member of the Hungarian Interior Architects Divison within the Chamber of Architects of Hungary and design principal of SNOPPER-DESIGN Partnership, Interior Design Studio, with headquarters in Budapest.

    ARCH. ȘERBAN ȚIGĂNAȘ, President the Order of Romanian ArchitectsArchitects, will be speaking about ”Inside Out. The Problem with Interior Architecture”.

    Serban Tiganas is a well-known architect from Romania. He is currently the president of the Order of the Architects of Romania, institution inside which he has initiated the study of Architecture as a profession and of The Policy for Architecture in Romania.
